knowledge-graphGoogle has added a new feature to the Knowledge Graph Carousel, where for some search queries, it will show a date selector box.

For example, a search on [hotel in new york] returns the local hotel listings at the top carousel but now adds this date selector option.

Here is a picture:

You can now click on the start and/or end date and a calendar pop up will show up for you to change your check in and check out dates. Then the pricing listed in the hotel results may change with the dates.

Google has allowed hotel, flight and other bookings through Google’s search results and has allowed date selection. But we believe Google has never shown the date selector in the knowledge graph carousel.

Hat tip to @ChrisDesrochers for spotting this.

Postscript: Google sent us a statement:

We’re always adding features to search to help people find what they need and get things done faster — you can now more easily research hotels when planning a trip and filter by user ratings and hotel class, as well as select specific dates.
