Google Trends Rolls Out “2014 Trending Topics” Feature, Site Redesign & Expanded YouTube Lists

In time for Google's 2014 #YearInReview, Google Trends now showing trending topics of the year.

Google Trends announced a new feature today, offering trending topics for 2014 in more than 45 languages, as well as a refreshed site design, and expansion of its trending YouTube video lists.

In time for Google’s 2014 Year in Review, the new Google Trends feature lists the top top trends of the year when users search for “2014 trending topics,” “2014 trends” or similar query.

Available in more than 45 languages, users can dig deeper into trending topics by clicking on the topic to do a search, or click the menu to see trends in 61 different countries.

Google Trends update

Along with its new 2014 trends lists, the site has expanded its YouTube trends to show trending videos from 27 countries.

The Google Trends website also has been refreshed with an updated navigation menu, new typography and spacing, and newly redesigned “Top Charts.”
