Google makes movie showtime links to Fandango more prominent in mobile search

The change is now appearing on both iOS and Android.

Google is displaying a new look for movie showtimes in mobile search results. First covered by Mike Blumenthal, the showtime links now appear in boxes, rather than just text listings.

When supported, clicking on the showtimes still links to Fandango for ticket purchases (not all cinemas support ticket sales through Fandango.) The new showtime format appears on both the Overview and Showtimes tabs. It appears the new look is rolling out now. I’m seeing it consistently in the US on both iOS and Android.

Desktop results still show the basic showtime listings — also linking to Fandango when supported.
