Google published a standalone Gemini app for iPhone users on iOS, which can be accessed over here in the Apple App Store. This is already available for Android devices and within the current Google app on iOS, or on the web at gemini.google.com. Now Google has a separate app for Gemini on iOS giving users “free, natural conversations with Gemini Live and get the most of Google’s personal AI assistant,” Google wrote.

More details. AppleiPhone users will get access to Gemini Live, allowing them to engage in natural, flowing conversations with the AI assistant in 12 languages. The languages include English, Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Portuguese, Arabic, Italian, Indonesian, Japanese, Turkish and Vietnamese. Google promises it will support more languages coming soon.

You can personalize Gemini’s voice by choosing from 10 distinct voices.

Examples of the app features. Google posted a number of examples of how the app works including:

  • Free-flowing conversation with Gemini Live that supports interruptions while you ask questions or change the topic during that conversation. Googl said it is a great way to practice for an upcoming interview or to ask for advice on things to do in a new city, or brainstorm and develop creative ideas.
  • Study with Gemini by asking Gemini questions about any subject, and then Gemini will give you a tailored study plan. It can also provide custom, step-by-step guidance that adapts to your learning style. Gemini can also give you quizzes on the topic.
  • Image creation in the Gemini app is also supported on iOS.
  • Extensions are also supported on iOS so you can seamlessly connects with your favorite apps. It works with the popular Google apps including YouTube, Google Maps, Gmail, Calendar and more.

Why we care. When it comes to AI search, having more ways to access these platforms on your mobile device mean possibly more searchers finding your brands and websites through these AI platforms.

It is recommended to try these apps out for queries that may impact your brands and queries that you already rank for in Google Search and see how your customers may see responses in the Gemini app for the iPhone.
